Since 2018 he is an educator at European School of Urology for minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of calculus in urinary tract

He is the winner of several first prizes for presentations at European urological meetings

Education in the field of minimally invasive endourological techniques at the University AKH Clinic in Vienna with Prof. Dr. Michael Marberger (2010), in Innsbruck with Prof. Udo Nagele (2015), in Paris with Prof. Olivier Traxer.(2017)

He has introduced several minimally invasive techniques in the field of kidney and urinary tract calculus treatment at the University Clinical Center of Serbia, including PCNL (percutaneous nephrolitholapaxy) and FURS (flexible laser lithotripsy)

Education:

  • 1976 Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade
  • 1978 After completing his medical internship and military service, he was employed at the Urological Clinic of the Clinical Center of Serbia
  • 1982 Defended his master’s thesis entitled: “Place and importance of partial cystectomy in the treatment of bladder tumors”.
  • 1983 Passed the specialist exam in urology
  • 1988 Defended his doctoral dissertation entitled: “Total cystectomy in the treatment of bladder tumors”

Work experience:

  • In 1994, he was elected to the title of scientific associate at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. He is a lecturer and mentor at specialist and postgraduate studies for doctors specializing in urology, surgery and gynecology.
  • since 1994, he has been the head of the department at the KCS Urology Clinic
  • from 2017 Ars Medica Beograd

Professional training:

He trained in the Netherlands, Denmark and England in ultrasound diagnostics of the urogenital tract. In 1987, he introduced ultrasound diagnostics, transrectal probe examinations and biopsies of the prostate and kidneys under ultrasound control at the KCS Urology Clinic. He participated in the theoretical and practical education of doctors on specialization, general practice doctors and specialist doctors in the fields of urology, internal medicine, radiology and other specialties. He was a lecturer at the Yugoslav, later Serbian, ultrasound school. He trained and dealt with operative surgery of benign and malignant diseases of the urotract, as well as endoscopic urology.
