Dr Marija Laban

Education:

  • In 2006, she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Belgrade with an average grade of 9.0
  • In 2019, she passed the specialist exam with excellent results
  • 2023 subspecialization in pulmonology
  • currently attending doctoral studies in pulmonology

Work experience:

  • In 2006/2007, she completed her general medical internship at the “Voždovac” Health Center and the Emergency Center of the Clinical Center of Serbia.
  • 2008 – 2009 employed at the City Institute for Lung Diseases in Belgrade
  • Since 2011, she has been employed at the Pulmonology Clinic of the Clinical Center of Serbia
  • She worked in the intensive care unit, the day hospital for malignant lung diseases, the reception and triage service and in the clinical departments.
  • From December 2020 to November 2021, she headed the semi-intensive care department at the “Batajnica” Covid Hospital, UKCS
  • Since 2022, she has been employed in the emergency pulmonology clinic of the Pulmonology Clinic in the UKC Emergency Center.

Publications:

She is the author of the chapter on post-covid in the book “Selected chapters from pulmonology” and co-author of the field of pulmonology in the textbook “Pharmacotherapeutic manual for dentists”.

Author/co-author of 13 in extenso papers published in peer-reviewed professional journals, as well as 12 abstracts from domestic and international congresses.

Memberships:

She is a member of the Serbian Medical Association, the European Respiratory Association and the Respiratory Association of Serbia.
