Education:

  • 1993. Basic studies, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade

  • 1999. Professional education in electroencephalography (EEG) with Prof. Dr. Žarko Martinović under the auspices of the Association for Clinical Neurophysiology SCG, for 9 months at the Institute for Mental Health, Belgrade.
  • 2002. Master’s studies in the field of neurology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade
  • 2010. Doctoral dissertation “Quality of life of patients with epilepsy”, mentor Prof. Dr. Žarko Martinović, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade
  • 2021. Subspecialization in clinical neurophysiology with epileptology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade

Work experience:

  • Since 1994, she has been employed in the Department of Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology of the Institute of Mental Health, and since 2010 she has been the head of the Department.
  • In 2017, she was elected, and in 2022, re-elected to the position of assistant professor for the narrow scientific field of neurology at the Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation, University of Belgrade.

Special interest:

Continuous training and research in the field of epileptology and electroencephalography (EEG) within the framework of educational courses, workshops and congresses organized by the International League against Epilepsy and national associations. Principal investigator in clinical studies of antiepileptic drugs and national coordinator of the international registry of pregnancy and antiepileptic drugs – EURAP studies (European Registry of Antiepileptic Drugs in Pregnancy) for Serbia and Montenegro since 2014.
